I'm taking Spanish 4 because the colleges I'm looking at want to see three years of high school foreign language. I want to either be an English major, dance therapy major, or early childhood education major. Knowing the basics of Spanish can help me in college and in my career.

In this day and age, there is a lot of culture in the United States. Just about everywhere you go, you encounter someone who speaks a different language. Spanish will be a skill I can use towards anyone who doesn't speak English. Whether I'm helping someone in the grocery store, or I'm using Spanish for my job..I'm sure I will put it to use.

It is important to give exposure to other cultures, and I will likely be living in southern America in the near future.

I am taking Spanish 4 because I am interested in language and I think that colleges would like to see that I can speak French and Spanish conversationally.

When I began taking Spanish in middle school I wasn’t sure how far I would pursue it or how well I would be at it. Now, being a senior, I realize that I will be in college next year and having “able to speak conversational Spanish” on my resume is a huge benefit. Currently I don’t exactly know what I want to major in but I am positive that mean knowing a second language is an attribute that might allow me to help a student understand English by understanding Spanish. Also it will look very good on an employment application. Thanks to Spanish!

Taking spanish in this day and age will be helpgul for the rest of your life. Our country is like a melting pot of culture and the more languages you know the more people you can connect with. In the future , the people you know will be very important, so being able to speak with people of other cultures will be a great asset.

I'm taking Spanish 4 because studies have shown there are many different benefits, some seemingly unrelated to linguistics, that come from learning multiple languages. It forces you to formalize your thoughts in a different syntax, leading to semantics that might not be possible in one language or another.

It is good to learn Spanish because later on in life you may never know when you have to use it. There are times during a job when someone speaks Spanish and you need to have the ability to translate or work with them; therefore, it is always a helpful class.

I am taking Spanish 4 because of the credits that it offers and because i do not want to take Spanish in college. I just want to get the stuff i need for college. I do not plan on using Spanish a lot in my life but it might help if I ever go to a Spanish country. I am also taking it because i do not believe in easy classes. Colleges like hard working kids who do difficult courses that are not mandatory.

Knowing Spanish will help me in my future. I am not sure what I want to do when I’m older, but I’m sure that knowing Spanish will only benefit me. the only trick is passing the test at the end of spanish 5. But learning spanish is a fun experience.

I am taking Spanish 4 because I like Spanish and want to further learn the Spanish language. Also it's a college credit that is good to take in high school. It might also make it so I won't have to take it in college so I can focus on more classes. Also I like knowing and understanding another language.

The reason that I am taking Spanish IV is because I plan on going to college to be a meteorologist and the colleges that I am currently looking into require that I take a third high school year of a foreign language. Otherwise if I do not, I have to take a year when I get there. I feel that taking two years off of Spanish and then having to take the course again, when in college, would be slightly challenging. Also with meteorologists’ they travel around the world and if I do end up going to a foreign country, I may need to know the Spanish language.

I am taking Spanish IV, one because I really enjoy Spanish, and two because I plan on becoming a dentist and may never know who i may be operating on. It's always good to know multiple languages when going into a field of study that deals with interaction with other people, especially if you'll be delving inside their mouths.

I've decided to take Spanish four because I do very well in this class, and it comes easy to me. Being able to speak conversational Spanish would look good for me when I'm applying for colleges.

I'm taking Spanish IV because I want to be a Fashion Merchandiser. Fashion merchandisers work with people from all over the world and knowing at least one other language besides English really helps. (Also, I'm more likely to get a job or get into my dream college knowing that I'm bilingual)
