About the Teacher
My name is Marisol Marcin. I was born in Bogota, Colombia. I studied to become a teacher of Spanish, and Modern languages in Colombia and just recently completed a PhD on Translation Studies at Binghamton University. I moved to the United States fifteen years ago, lived in Alaska, South Carolina and a few years ago moved to New York. I am married and have two children. We live on a farm and we have a rabbit, two dogs, three ducks, five cows, seven goats, eight pigs, and eighteen chickens. I like to travel, read and write. I am very passionate about teaching, and because of that, I spend a lot of time reading and researching strategies to improve my practice.
